Vacation Estate Adds New Homes With Support From Lloyds Bank | Yorkshire

A North Yorkshire holiday estate has secured funding from Lloyds Bank to support the launch of new homes.

Riverdale Rural Holidays, near West Tanfield, offers accommodation in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales. Guests have access to a series of hiking trails and can stay in a custom lodge or safari tent overlooking the Ure River.

Over the past 12 months, Lloyds Bank has supported the Riverdale team of four, led by husband and wife Richard and Daphne Bourne-Arton, with a series of funding programs, including a Bounce Back loan of 50,000. £ in 2020, and two further bank loans totaling £ 125,000.

The funding has allowed Riverdale to expand its range of accommodation, with four new luxury shepherd’s huts, located in the estate’s wildflower meadow, which have recently opened reservations. It follows the addition of four safari tents in July 2020, alongside the original lodges.

The company is now planning its next phase of expansion and aims to launch a set of private treehouses within the next two years.

Daphne Bourne-Arton, co-owner of the Riverdale estate, said: “When Covid-19 hit last year, we knew we had to act quickly and prepare for the inevitable wave of pent-up vacation requests. late, and we’ve gone from four to 12 lodgings and are now welcoming guests for a whole new experience in Riverdale through our shepherd huts.

“The support from Lloyds Bank has been invaluable – the team has been by our side every step of the way, guiding us through the challenges of the pandemic and helping us bounce back stronger.”
