These are the newest luxury accommodations in London
The US-UK corridor has finally opened, with vaccinated US travelers allowed to enter England without quarantine. And just days after the announcement, JetBlue launched its first NYC-London flight, making it even easier for travelers to experience London for the first time in over a year. Unsurprisingly, the city looks a little different, with new hotels, bars, restaurants, and suites opening in the past year. Here are some of the latest luxury accommodations to check out if you are planning a trip.
Another sister property of iconic hotels like Cliveden House and Chewton Glen has just entered the scene. The Mayfair Townhouse is an upscale new neighborhood hotel with a notable address in Mayfair and is described as ‘Oscar Wilde meets Alice in Wonderland’ with a mischievous motive. You will notice fox images and intricate design elements throughout. As for what to do, the aptly named Dandy Bar is the heart and soul of Townhouse; it is a dimly lit theatrical bar that creates a place to see and be seen.
Apartments by 11 Cadogan Gardens
London’s only Relais & Châteaux hotel, 11 Cadogan Gardens, launched an apartment product in April 2021. With an exclusive address in Chelsea, Apartments by 11 Cadogan Gardens is like having a private residence in the heart of Chelsea in London. Enter through a red-brick Victorian facade and choose between stylish one, two or three-bedroom apartments with traditional high ceilings and modern decor. Guests not only enjoy a view of the exclusive Cadogan Gardens, but can also access them via a private off-street entrance with direct elevator access.
The Stafford London
Over the past year, The Stafford London has quietly updated The Main House accommodations in preparation for the return of international travelers. It’s even inaugurated a new suite years ago thanks to Rosendale Design (the same team that redesigned the hotel’s popular Game Bird restaurant and beloved American Bar). Aptly named after its expansive terrace, which offers breathtaking views of London, Stafford Park is spread over two floors and has an expansive outdoor terrace. The large open plan living and dining area features a stunning central Calcutta marble fireplace with double glazed doors that open onto the magical private terrace where you can admire the capital in private.
While the hotel itself isn’t new, The Goring has launched a whole new lineup to welcome guests back. This summer, the only hotel with a Royal Warrant from Her Majesty The Queen will host Instagram pony sensation in residence, Teddy The Shetland (@teddytheshetland). You can book a limited edition overnight package that includes afternoon tea for you and a selection of Teddy’s favorite cakes, pastries, fantasies and pies. Plus, the theater is back and The Goring is thrilled to be able to offer overnight guests exclusive access to some of the city’s most sought-after shows, such as “Mary Poppins” and “Hamilton”. Offerings include award-winning Goring afternoon tea before the show of your choice and a night followed by The Dining Room’s legendary Full English breakfast. The ultimate five-star experience doesn’t stop with parents; all children staying at the hotel will be granted the exclusive VI (small) P. status so that the return of the theater is magical and unforgettable.
