Pennsylvania city makes trending travel list for the first time, but you might be surprised which one

Vacation Rental Site Vrbo recently released its Travel Trends 2022 report, and for the first time, a city in Pennsylvania has made the list of promising family travel destinations.

It would be Harrisburg, who finished fourth in the last report.

Vrbo’s booking data revealed that demand for Harrisburg doubled in vacation rentals in 2021.

Topping the list is Cincinnati, Ohio, followed by Yorktown, Virginia and Niagara Falls, New York. Matanuska-Susitna, Alaska, placed fifth.

Since 2017, Vrbo has released its annual trend report to highlight upcoming family travel trends for the coming year. Thanks to the proximity to Hershey, the spotlight fell on Harrisburg and the surrounding area.

“Travelers who visit Harrisburg typically do so with their family or in a group, and they stay in and near the Harrisburg area, including Hershey, for trips lasting 2-4 days,” Emma said. Davis, account manager for 360PRplus, who released the information in a press release. “With attractions close to Hershey and a rich history in the capital to explore, Harrisburg is an emerging weekend getaway with tons of activities for the whole family.”

Vrbo was established in 1995 to offer vacationers the option of reserving chalets, condos, beach houses, and urban and suburban homes. Here is a link to the Vrbo to place.
