CA Immobilien Anlagen: Immo sells hotel and office building in Vienna to Horn Grundbesitz

  • Sale of the Hotel Savoyen/Mechelgasse 1 office building in Vienna signed as part of the strategic capital rotation program
  • Horn Grundbesitz expands portfolio with another prime property in prime city center location

Vienna/Düsseldorf, November 11, 2022. CA Immo has signed the sale of a real estate complex consisting of the Hotel Savoyen and the Botanical Garden office building in the 3rd district of Vienna. The property, located in the immediate vicinity of the Belvedere Palace and ideally located, has a total rental area of ​​approx. 38,150 m² (GLA) and was acquired by a subsidiary of Horn Grundbesitz KG. Closing is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

This real estate sale is part of CA Immo’s capital rotation program, aimed at selling non-strategic assets such as hotels and office buildings below a minimum size. With the acquisition of Hotel Savoyen/Mechelgasse 1, Horn expands its portfolio of core European properties in line with its strategy. The transaction is part of the company’s objective to acquire mixed-use properties with viable and sustainable concepts. Tenants of the office complex include the current headquarters of CA Immobilien Anlagen AG and the Vienna-based fashion company Peek & Cloppenburg KG.

The seller was advised by Eastdil on the brokerage side and Cerha Hempel on the legal side, while the buyer was advised commercially by CBRE and PKF, legally by Wolf Theiss, on taxes by LeitnerLeitner and technically by Drees & Sommer.
