Hotel raises bar for hospitality offerings from Brown Hotels, known for its quirky, designer collection of boutique urban properties, and sees brand expand into beachfront offerings with launch of inaugural resort of the new “Isla Brown”. collection.
“Having operated a growing collection of urban boutique hotels over the past 12 years and following a successful launch in the Greek market, we felt inspired to broaden our horizons and challenge ourselves with the development of a whole new line of full-service designer resorts. said Leon Avigad, founder of Brown Hotels. “The beauty of Isla Brown Corinthia is its proximity to Athens, making it an ideal coastal destination for local vacationers and international travelers for holidays or events. Isla Brown Corinthia marks Brown Hotels’ first designer resort, with further ‘Isla’ branded resorts in Crete and Corfu in the works for 2023 – it is indeed a very exciting time for the group, as we make the transition to the luxury market.
Isla Brown Corinthia boasts a clean and organic design concept intended to complement its natural surroundings, all with sweeping views of the endless blue of the Saronic Gulf. With 166 stylish rooms and suites, two swimming pools, a wellness center, a rooftop bar and restaurant, a private beach with water sports facilities and event space, Isla Brown Corinthia is set to be one of the openings the most accessible and anticipated in Greece for the summer of 2022, for both local Athenians and international travelers.
The sophisticated design concept champions an organic, luminous color palette and strong architectural form, with the intention of the structure to appear as an extension of the surrounding landscape. Inspired by the volcanic arc of the North Aegean and the Greek myth of the giant Typhoeus, who resided beneath “Sousaki”; a craterless volcano that lay dormant for 2.7 million years, Typhoeus was so large it soared above the mountains with its head touching the stars. This idea is rooted in the concept of Isla Brown Corinthia, with the design of the hotel intended to embody the volcanic eruption of Typhoeus, harmoniously marrying earth with sky through a continuation of fitness and vast land. and the sea that surrounds it. The result is a contemporary structure that manifests clean, smooth lines like pebbles stacked on top of each other. Cohesive with the exterior design, the hotel’s interiors emulate these soft, flowing forms, with a pattern of curved lines and an earthy color palette of stone, white and brown, finished with bronze detailing and mirror-tinted walls. .
Isla Brown Corinthia presents four different room types and two varieties of suites to suit the needs of every traveler, and all rooms offer spacious balconies, with views that stretch out to the endless blue of the Saronic Gulf or the mountainous landscape of inland Greece. Each room, regardless of size, has free high-speed Wi-Fi, a Nespresso machine, bathrobes and slippers, and luxury toiletries. The suites have a kitchenette, open closets and a dining area.
Dining is a priority, with the resort offering a variety of restaurants serving different cuisines, for an exemplary dining experience. The hotel will house an intimate cellar bar serving fresh, contemporary dishes, and a more traditional Mediterranean restaurant offering Greek classics. In addition, the hotel will offer its guests an à la carte menu and the famous Brown Hotels buffet breakfast. The spacious adults-only rooftop terrace is a standout feature of Isla Brown Corinthia, with stunning 360-degree views, lounge chairs, hot tubs, a plunge pool and alfresco bar, and as as night approaches, fire pits light up the terrace with a DJ set playing until late.
With its own private beach, you can relax on the pebbly bay or take a dip in the resort’s fully equipped watersports centre. The wellness center invites guests to enter a sanctuary of calm and enjoy a selection of quality spa treatments in the scorched lava tiled treatment rooms, take advantage of the on-site gym or the spacious event space that works well as a wedding venue or corporate business setting. Next year, Isla Brown Corinthia will add a 110-bungalow resort with pool and restaurant, located on Corinthia Hill.
