A ‘magical’ hotel in a famous North Wales location has been put on the market
A historic hotel next to a ‘famous’ North Wales landmark has gone up for sale.
The Chainbridge Hotel was built in 1827 and has become a popular venue partly due to its fantastic location next to the famous Chain Bridge over the River Dee.
Seamus O’Keeffe bought the site nearly 10 years ago and has invested heavily in growing the business over the past decade.
Although it proved to be a huge success, he decided it was time for a change – although business will continue as usual until a new buyer takes over.
The 33-bedroom hotel with a popular bar and restaurant is on the market with Fleurets for £1.8m.
Mr O’Keeffe said: “We are under no pressure to move on, and every time we do it will be with a heavy heart.
“It’s a magical place but we think it’s a good time to give someone else a boost!
“It’s an absolutely fantastic company, obviously an amazing and unique place, and we’ve had a lot of fun and success building the hotel over the 10 years we’ve been here.
“We have other interests that we want to try to pursue, so it seems like the time has come for a change.
“Despite the challenges of last year, we have been blown away by the popularity of the hotel, and bookings for this year are excellent.”
